Kyle was a significant contributor to last year's team. A strong rebounder with a great work ethic, Kyle battled for and got a lot of minutes in the post this season.

In the Final Four on March 8 and 10, 2001, Kyle played significant minutes.  In the semi-final on March 8 he played almost the whole game when Jonathan Shapiro went down less than a minute into the game with a laceration above his left eye that required 16 stitches.  He scored 5 sorely needed points and kept us in that game.  In the Championship Game, he was the only player other than Mike Marod to come off the bench.  He gave sorely needed rest to both Jonathan Shapiro and Jon Allen in that game, and, although he didn't score, showed the heart of a champion.
