Kyle was a significant contributor to last year's team. A strong rebounder with a great work ethic, Kyle battled for and got a lot of minutes in the post last season. This year he is the stalwart on the baseline and at the post. At the Bradenton Christian Christmas Tournament December 27-29, 2001, he was named to the All-Tournament Team.

In the Final Four on March 8 and 10, 2001, Kyle played significant minutes. In the semi-final on March 8 he played almost the whole game when Jonathan Shapiro went down less than a minute into the game. He scored 5 sorely needed points and kept us in that game. In the Championship Game, he came off the bench. He gave sorely needed rest to both Jonathan Shapiro and Jon Allen in that game, and, although he didn't score, showed the heart of a champion.
